Mark Fletcher, a seasoned entrepreneur recently posted the “15 Startup Commandments” on Startupping.com. I found his post amusing and dead on at the same time. The point I agree the most with is #10: You have to be wrong in the head to start a company. What do you think?
Joke apart, Startupping.com is an awesome resource for web entrepreneurs. Check it out!

Camino is an awesome browser for OS X. It is fast, reliable and looks pretty. Since it’s built with Cocoa, it feels like a “real” Mac application. I am currently using the Intel-optimized builds of Firefox which are a lot better than the “original” Firefox. However, even the optimized builds are rather buggy, bloated and slow on OS X. My hunt for the perfect browser has led me to Camino, which I immediately fell in love with. It used the same rendering engine as Firefox, but is specifically built for the Mac. It is less bloated and feels a lot smoother.
These minor annoyances prevent me from making it my primary browser, though:
- CMD-1..9 doesn’t focus the appropriate tab
Having to use the mouse or OPT-CMD-left/right arrow to navigate between tabs just doesn’t cut it for me.
- CMD-Return doesn’t auto-complete URLs
Firefox and IE does it, why not Camino?
- No GreaseMonkey-like feature
Title says it all.
- CMD-K doesn’t give the search bar focus like in Firefox
I solved this one by created a keyboard shortcut manually.
- Lack of add-ons
I recently fell in love with Resizeable Form Fields and I miss it in Camino!
- Lack of a good del.icio.us add-on
the new one for Firefox is just amazing
Once the Camino team fix those minor annoyances, I’ll be the first in line to switch!

Paul Graham gave an insightful talk about investors at Stanford yesterday. A kind soul took great notes and it is recommended reading for all fellow entrepreneurs out there.
