It’s official, Network Solutions is stealing domain names from its customers (proof here and here).   EVERY domain searched for is automatically registered by the company only seconds later.  That’s just one more reason to not trust registrars when you’re looking for the perfect domain name.

If you’re not already aware of that, I’m the author of a nifty little website called Ajaxwhois.  It allows you to lookup any domain name (including .ca, .uk and so on) and to perform whois queries on them.  All of this is, of course, ajaxified to the fullest extent.

The good thing is that Ajaxwhois does NOT send queries to ANY domain registrar and I certainly won’t steal the domain names you search for.

After blaming FeedBurner for my feed problems for so long, I started considering that the problem might in fact be me. And it was.

If you were subscribed to my feed but had a lot of problems with it (FeedMedic alerts all over the place), please subscribe again. It should be fixed now. The feed url is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/CarlMercier.

Sorry about that.  Been a tidy bit busy lately

As you probably know, we just launched Defensio two days ago. The response from the community has been outstanding and we’re super excited about it! We’re getting great reviews from everywhere, we’re flooded by e-mails, developers are actively working with our API and our servers are humming along pretty smooth. Everything’s going great!

I consider myself extremely lucky to have such a great team behind me. Without these guys, Defensio would not have been possible. Camilo, Mat, thank you!
